Advanced Obstetrics & Gynecology in New Albany, Mississippi, provides compassionate, patient-centered obstetrical and gynecological services to female patients across North Mississippi.

The experienced team of board-certified doctors offers comprehensive well-woman exams, infertility treatment, menopause management, and high-risk obstetrics. No matter what stage of life a woman is in, Advanced Obstetrics & Gynecology is here for women’s health needs for all generations.

For patient convenience, the practice performs many procedures right in the office, including both Mirena® and Kyleena® intrauterine device birth control placements. The OB/GYN specialists are well-versed in performing minimally invasive surgeries.

The doctors at Advanced Obstetrics & Gynecology share the philosophy that all patients should be cared for as though they’re family. The team is dedicated to providing compassionate and high-quality care in a comfortable, patient-centered environment. The team provides complete OB/GYN services in-house, including laboratory services, 3D/4D ultrasound, and minor gynecologic procedures. Obstetric deliveries and gynecology surgeries are performed at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County in New Albany.

Dr. Bautista

Meet Dr. Bautista

Leo Bautista, MD, FACOG, also known as “Dr. B”, is a board-certified OB/GYN at Advanced Obstetrics & Gynecology in New Albany, Mississippi. He specializes in high-risk obstetrics, advanced minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries, female pelvic disorders, and the evaluation and treatment of infertility.

Dr. Bautista moved from the Philippines to work in the United States as a registered nurse. While working full time, he completed his premedical training at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.

After training, Dr. Bautista earned his doctor of medicine from St. Matthew’s University in the Cayman Islands before completing his clerkship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, and residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.

Dr. Bautista is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

When he’s not at work, Dr. Bautista treasures spending time with his wife, Glenda, and their two daughters, Camille and Abigail. He enjoys an active lifestyle, including running, swimming, and traveling.

Dr. Frohn

Meet Dr. Frohn

Eric Frohn, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN seeing patients at Advanced Obstetrics & Gynecology in New Albany, Mississippi. He specializes in managing high-risk pregnancies and all aspects of gynecological practice for adolescents to senior citizens.

Dr. Frohn earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi, before earning his doctor of medicine from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Mississippi. He then completed his OB/GYN residency at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children & Women in Orlando, Florida.

Dr. Frohn is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

A native of Mississippi, Dr. Frohn grew up in the Jackson area and currently lives with his wife, Jill, and their children, Will and Elizabeth, in New Albany. When he’s not working, Dr. Frohn enjoys hunting, Ole Miss sports, and traveling with his family.

Becky Thompson, FNP-C

Meet Becky Thompson, WHNP-BC

Becky is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from the University of Alabama-Birmingham and enjoys caring for women of all ages. She enjoys educating women about contraception choices and helping women maintain a healthy lifestyle by focusing on preventative care.

Becky is married to Dr. Tim Thompson, and they have 2 adult daughters, Mary Kate Thompson Hickey and Grace Thompson. During her off time, she eniovs traveling, Ole Miss sports, and spending time with her family.

A native of the New Albany community, Advanced OB/GYN is blessed to have her talents, skills and care for our patients.

Jennifer Stanton, FNP-C

Meet Jennifer Stanton, FNP-C

Jennifer is originally from New Albany has been married to her husband, Bubba, since 2004. They have two awesome boys, Wes and Wade.

After graduating from West Union Attendance Center in 2000, she earned her associate’s degree from Northeast MS Community College, followed by a bachelor’s and master’s degree from MS University for Women in 2004 and 2006 respectively. Jennifer has experience as an advanced practice nurse in family practice as well as over 13 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology.

As a teacher, she also has 10 years experience in teaching online for health science and nursing programs across the country. With a passion for learning and increasing her skills and knowledge she plans to receive her doctorate of nursing practice degree in April of 2022. If she’s not with Advanced OB/GYN, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and working in her store, downtown, that she co-owns with her mother and sister.
